About The Association of Bridal Consultants
The Association
of Bridal Consultants is the only organization dedicated exclusively
to serving wedding professionals worldwide. Founded in 1981,
it replaced the American Association of Professional Bridal Consultants,
which had been serving the wedding industry since 1955. The ABC
now has 2500 members in 25 countries, including a subordinate
headquarters in Japan.
Members represent the entire wedding industry, including independent
consultants and vendors of all types. A Novice member category
provides information and education benefits for those just entering
the business and a Corporate member category serves those marketing
nationwide or worldwide.
What is a wedding consultant?
A bridal (wedding) consultant is a professional whose training, expertise and contacts will help make your wedding as close to perfect as it possibly can be - and let you relax (as much as you can) and enjoy your wedding. You can count on a professional consultant to help you in many roles:
