A great wedding tip is to look for reception sites that include wedding cake in their package prices.  Many reception sites include dessert as part of the five course meal,  however the bride has to subcontract an outside baker to create, design and deliver her wedding cake on the big day. EXPENSIVE!   I have seen many cakes that cost over $1000.00, and an average of $500.00 is not unordinary. Many bakeries charge by the slice ($4.00 -$4.50) NOT cheap!    So...pick a site that includes wedding cake.  You'll still have leadway as to what you like in terms of design, style and taste, and you'll save yourself a lot of dough!
