Wedding Road Show weekend rolls into LBI with open houses, LIVE broadcast and a VIP Bride-to-be April 18th brings the second annual LBI Region Wedding Road show to brides seeking a destination wedding; including Krista Kutney of Essington, PA who was chosen from 1500 entries from the NJWedding.com VIP Contest Experience
LONG BEACH ISLAND, N.J.– Let the wedding planning begin; as brides from Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania and across New Jersey take part in the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce's Wedding Road Show, which highlights over 50 chamber members who specialize in wedding services and showcases the entire region for future visitors. Kicking things off this year is the Long Beach Island Branch of the Ocean County Library; which on April 17 at 2pm will present a Online Wedding Planning workshop for brides, grooms or anyone involved with the planning process. This course will be taught on the library's eight lap top computers, or students may bring their own if they are wi fi capable. Registration for the free class can be made by contacting the library or registering online through theoceancountylibrary.org
Doing research online is how Krista Kutney, this year's Wedding Road Show VIP Bride-to-be found out about the Wedding Road Show and the VIP Contest Experience through NJWedding.com. Krista won an overnight stay at Daddy O Boutique Hotel, a chauffeured white stretch limo from Anchor Limousine Service sponsored by The Van Dyk Group and a welcome gift from Frank's Flower and Gift Shoppe in Tuckerton. This contest is presented by the chamber and NJWedding.com who has been promoting the event and the VIP contest since November both online and at over 30 bridal shows throughout the state. The bride to be had just taken a quick break when Erik Kent, Co-Publisher of NJWedding.com, called her cell phone. "I was so excited, I was having such a busy day and then I picked up the phone and got the great news," explained Krista, a native of North Eastern Pennsylvania who has vacationed in LBI her entire life. "I have celebrated every birthday with my family on Long Beach Island, I have so many memories. This is my home away from home." Krista and her fiancé Matt are students at Temple University and have just started looking into a September 2011 wedding.
The Wedding Road Show takes place Sunday April 18th beginning at 9:30 am at three welcome points: Tip Seaman Park on Route 9 in Tuckerton (hosted by the Pineland Business Association and BNI), Stafford Heritage Center (Old Baptist Church) on Route 9 Manahawkin (hosted by Tuckerton Seaport and Historical Society) and the Southern Ocean County Chamber office at 265 West Ninth Street in Ship Bottom. Brides will receive their bridal bags and tour book with map and information regarding the venues and vendors displaying throughout the day. Brides can tour at their own pace, on this self guided tour to 12 different wedding venues filled with wedding professionals representing every facet of the industry. This year's grand prize is the LBI Dream Wedding Package which features an April 2011 Wedding site at Brant Beach Yacht Club, photography by Ann Coen, Video by J & S Video Services, Floral package by Camille's Floral Design, Invitation Designs by Stephanie, as well as other prizes such as a custom cake by Tammy's Cake Walk and a day of wedding coordination by Julia and Friends Event Management.
