Engagement Story:
During the day my boyfriend (at the time) Charles and I were at my niece's first birthday. While I was busy running after my little nieces, Charles asked my mom and dad for their permission to ask me to marry him. After the party, we went back to my house and decided to go get a movie. On our way to the store, Charles asked me to stop at the park down the street from my house. This park was where we had our first kiss 9 years earlier when we were in HS. During our HS years, we spent a lot of time together at that park. We decided to swing on the swings for a few minutes when Charles told me that he saw a shooting star. He tried to point to near where he saw the star, but all I could see was an airplane flying past. I didn't hear Charles respond to me at all nor his presence right behind me. I turned around to see him in the dark on one knee with a lit up ring box containing a beautiful, sparkling, diamond ring. I shakingly listened to him ask me and said YES!!!! We spent an hour sitting in that park afterwards discussing how excited we were that we were finally going to be able to call each other, "my fiance."
