Engagement Story:
Billy and I had been dating for about a year. We became the best of friends after meeting by chance at a local gas station. One of our favorite getaways is Philly. Billy planned to take me away for a romantic weekend for a belated birthday gift. We had reservations to a favorite restaurant, McCormick and Schmicks. He didn't realize that even before he called to make the reservation, I had called and spoken with the Manager about surprising him with an engagement ring and proposal!!Everything was set, we were to have a private room, with special tropical flowers on the table and I had arranged to have the waitress bring out a silver jewelery box engraved with the words "Billy, Marry me!" on it. Inside was his ring! She would bring it out when she brought the dessert tray to us. My goodness, was he surprised! Well..the story is not over! HE had also been calling the manager to arrange a surprise proposal to me! They were to print special menus with the words "Happy Birthday, Michelle" on them. And after dessert they were to bring out the real menus that read " Marry Me, Michelle" on them. The poor people at the restaurant didn't know what to do! They said it was so funny, they were afraid they would spill the beans to one of us as we called. It all worked out and we are now planning a perfect wedding!!!!
