More About Moline-Kronberg Dry Cleaners

A bride's wedding gown is more than a beautiful garment - it's a lifetime memory. That is why we at Moline Kronberg care about preparing and preserving these precious gowns, and why we are renowned for bridal gown cleaning and restoration.

We believe it is vital to clean and preserve a gown before long term storage. Although wear and tear may be done on your special day, it is no comparison to the damage that can occur over time. Skins, oils, and perspiration can act as harmful agents and cause extreme oxidation and yellowing to your gown. The presence of latent stains from substances such as champagne and wine can also act as oxidizer. These organic compounds over time will have the ability to damage the delicate fabrics of your gown and if not treated, will cause permanent damage. Scientific studies have shown that archival materials can protect delicate fabrics from age and decay after your gown has undergone expert cleaning.

All Bridal gowns receive specialized attention and only hand finishing. We begin with an anti-sugar process to remove latent stains and soils, making sure to pay special attention to fabrics such as lace, silk, and rayon. Each wedding gown is treated with unique care for the gown's specifications. Once the gown is cleaned and crisply pressed, we undergo our final inspection before preservation. Each gown is then personally layered with acid-free tissue and folded into a Museum Quality™ archival chamber that protects the gown from exposure to light and air contaminants, the same archival chest used by the Smithsonian Institutes, leaving the gown ready for generations to come.
