Much like home decor and fashion, jewelry trends change with the start of each new year. Whether you’re looking for an engagement ring, Valentine’s Day gift, or a stunning piece to start off 2019 in style, Woodbridge Jewelry Exchange has everything you’re looking for in one convenient location.

With more than 36 independent vendors on site, Woodbridge Jewelry Exchange offers the largest selection in the Garden State. Here shoppers will find more than 100,000 items under one roof, including engagement rings, wedding bands, bracelets, necklaces, color stones, earrings, and watches.

While the Exchange features timeless and beloved styles that turn heads decade after decade, the business, which garnered a 2018 ‘Best in Woodbridge’ award, also keeps up with the latest trends.

Find out which new jewelry looks you’ll start to see in the coming year.

What’s Hot in Engagement Rings

Diamonds never go out of style, but chic updates to settings and colors make engagement rings feel modern and fresh. For brides who love being on the cutting edge or wives looking for an anniversary upgrade, the Woodbridge Jewelry Exchange’s Marketing Manager Estefany Morel shares what’s on-trend for 2019.

“We’re getting away from the traditional round diamond engagement rings and we’re seeing a lot of interest in pear shaped stones,” Morel said.

Oval cuts, like the one Justin Bieber gave to now-wife Hailey Baldwin, are also hot right now. Another trend gaining in popularity is the double band. Stacked, or nested, rings are in demand, noted Morel, as are colored diamonds. Canary yellow is the hue of choice. These bold stones can be found on the fingers of fashion trendsetters such as Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham.

As concerns about sustainability and reducing environment impact grow, synthetic, or manmade, lab-grown diamonds are garnering both interest and attention, particularly among millennials.

Creating a One-of-a-Kind Gift

Designing a unique piece of jewelry that includes the recipient’s initials or monogram is extremely fashionable right now, Morel explained.

“Pendant necklaces with initials or birthstones are big,” she said. “For moms, we’re seeing a lot of boy or girl dolls, also with initials or birthstones. The wonderful thing about Woodbridge Jewelry Exchange is that our vendors have everything you can think of, and if they don’t, they can make it for you.”

Morel also noted that jewelers are willing to work with customers across all price points.

“One of the best things about Woodbridge Jewelry Exchange is that if you give them a budget, they adjust to it,” she said.

Restoring Former Treasures

The phrase “everything old is new again” certainly applies to jewelry. If you have a family heirloom or other favorite piece that either needs to be resized or repaired, the jewelers at Woodbridge Jewelry Exchange can breathe new life into older baubles.

Expert jewelry repairs can be performed immediately on premises in one of the Woodbridge Jewelry Exchange’s eight repair shops. So customers who are reluctant to leave their precious stones don’t have to worry, Morel added.

Additionally, the Exchange features certified gemologists, experienced appraisers, designers and model makers.

“Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it here,” Morel said.
