Amaryllis Event Decor wins BEST EVENT DESIGN / DECOR for Winter Wonderland Wedding Theme at Garden State Gala Awards

The theme was Winter Wonderland... all white flowers, tons of candles and crystals, opulence as far as the eye can see, but tasteful -- it had to be tasteful! “Make my daughter the happiest bride ever!” the father-of-the-bride instructed. Having worked with this client for many years in the past I knew what that meant...”over-the-top”...”no holds barred”...”show them something nobody has ever seen!!!”

The main vision was to keep it elegant and sophisticated. This wedding, this client and this decor stands out a little more than the rest. It was so much fun watching months of planning come to fruition.

Being the theme was Winter Wonderland, there could be no foliage seen whatsoever. We overcame this by covering and using over 6000 stems of white hydrangeas to create a lush, white, snowy look. To create icicles we used over 1200 white Phalaenopsis orchids in a cascading effect. Many candles and crystals were suspended from snow covered branches and all was enhanced by a soft hue of light blue LED lighting. There were over 350 guests so to keep it interesting we designed three types of centerpieces incorporating a lot of crystals, glass and candles throughout the flowers. I know we achieved the clients' and our goals at the end of the evening when I saw them and they were literally speechless; I mean literally, not a word, just tears. Just so rewarding.

This event celebrated excellence in the special events industry.
