FAQs About Wedding Day Makeup & Hair | Perfect Bridals by Christina

So many brides reach out to me and ask me such great questions in preparation for their wedding day!! I figured that I will share some of the questions along with their answers!!

:: FAQ ::

Q: How soon should I book my makeup/hair trial?

A: As soon as your comfortable! However I would lean towards the sooner rather than the later. With the fast pace of the internet, wedding websites, and social media, your wedding date may be available one day and then booked the next. My suggestion is to take advantage of your trial for your engagement shoot! This is a great way to see how your makeup photographs and an early enough time to get to know and establish a relationship with your makeup artist!

Q: Do you do hair or just makeup?

A: Personally, I just do makeup. However I have a team of such amazing stylists that I travel with all over NJ!! Each and every one has done my hair specifically for one occasion or another!

Q: Can I book my makeup and hair trial together?

A: You don't have to, but its great to see the whole look pulled together! My team and I will do our best to accommodate you to schedule both the makeup and hair trial together!

Q: I have a large wedding party and/or short window to get ready! Do you come alone or so you bring another person?

A: I take about 30-45 minutes per girl to apply makeup. If need be, I will bring an assistant or another artist with me (sometimes both!) Your wedding day is time sensitive and I want to make sure it is as stress free as possible!! This is a day you should be able to sit back and relax for!!

Q: Do you charge a travel fee?

A: No. All my prices include travel on the day of your wedding.

Q: Why do you require a deposit?

A: Your deposit secures your wedding day so that no other bride is booked on that day. Your date will be removed from my calendar and my online calendar that I share with my vendors.

Q: My rehearsal dinner is the day before the wedding and I know I am going to have a drink or two to just loosen up and relax!

A: For sure!! With every 4oz of alcohol make sure to drink 8oz of water!! Puffy is really hard to fix with makeup but easy to fix with water!!

Q: How close to my wedding can I get a facial?

A: I would suggest 30 days prior to your wedding. This way if anything come to the surface, if there is redness or bruising, you have that time for your skin to heal properly before your big day!

Q: Is it true that dirty hair is the best hair to style?

A: One day dirty or clean hair is fine! We can always add products. If you are planning on washing it the day/night before or the morning of your wedding, blow it out as best as possible! We will take care of the rest. Do not apply a flat iron to your hair because it will not hold a curl.

Q: How close to my wedding should I color my hair?

A: Preferably one week prior to your wedding so the color has a chance to oxidize and your hair will be fresh and shiny.

Q: Do you want me to send pictures that I am thinking of for my wedding?

A: Absolutely! Send them all!! Please have realistic expectations... If you are a blonde blue eyed beauty, you can not expect to look like Kim Kardashian! If you are a brown eye brunette exotic beauty, you cannot expect to look like Jennifer Aniston. Keep to your own hair and skin tones to get the best version of you on your wedding day!

I hope these FAQ are helpful to all that are planning a wedding!!
Love your Life!
