The Columbia Inn has a long and rich history in Montville, NJ. Constructed in the 1870s, it once served as Montville’s town hall. Later, it was converted into an inn because of its ideal location between historic Route 202 and the Morris Canal. This well-known resting place provided food, drink, baths, and rooms for decades to weary travelers. The restaurant was opened in 1997 by two Montville natives, Aran and Ryan McDermott. The McDermott family has lived in Montville for decades and is proud to serve the community every day.
